Cairo, Egypt, 14 November 2017: Rasmala Egypt Asset Management (‘REAM’), the Egyptian asset management subsidiary of Rasmala plc, has announced that its ABC Bank Fund (the ‘Fund’), has been recognised by Thomson Reuters Lipper as the top performing fund over a period of 1 year, 3 years and 5 years in terms of return within the Egypt Equity category. The Fund was also recognised by BMI Research in its report covering Egypt Banking Q4-2017, as the strongest performing equity fund in 2016 registering a return of 74.7%.
The Fund, which was launched in August 2008 by ABC Bank Egypt is managed by REAM and invests in the Egyptian equity market.
