Ali al Shihabi

Ali al Shihabi established Rasmala Investment Bank in 2003. Prior to establishing Rasmala, Mr. al Shihabi was the Chairman of the Board Management Committee of the Saudi Hollandi Bank, a position he held for over 10 years. Mr. al Shihabi holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Anwar Abu Sbaitan
Chief Executive Officer
Joined Rasmala in 2004, and held the position of Head of Placements before being appointed as CEO. Prior to Rasmala, Mr Abu Sbaitan was Executive Marketing Director for the Gulf region with Merrill Lynch Bahrain. He also established Merrill Lynch's Jordan office and had served as Executive Director in Merrill Lynch's San Francisco office.

Michael Kidd
Chief Operating Officer
Joined Rasmala in 2009 from Intaj, a MENA focused mid-cap private equity fund. Prior to that, he was Executive Director at CIBC and CIBC Capital Partners in London focusing on mid-cap private equity. He also worked at McKinsey & Co in the US. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Eric Swats
Head of Asset Management
Joined Rasmala in 2003 from Citigroup Asset Management where he served as Head of European Private Bank Asset Management. Mr. Swats holds an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Hany Saad
Head of Brokerage & Managing Director, Rasmala Egypt Securities
Joined Rasmala in 2008 and has over 17 years of experience in the financial sector. Prior to joining Rasmala, Mr. Saad worked in several multinational companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Toronto Dominion Bank and most recently the Royal Bank of Canada where he held the position of Equities and Derivatives specialist. Mr. Saad holds a BA in Business Administration and is a Chartered Market Technician with the MTA in New York.

Zaid S.Ghoul
Head of Investment Banking
Joined Rasmala in December 2011 with over 20 years of deals based experience covering Corporate Turnaround & Restructuring, Fund Raising and M&A advisory. Prior to Rasmala, Mr. Ghoul held several senior positions as Partner in PwC, CFO and CIO of regional conglomerates in UAE, and the Director of Corporate Finance in E& Y and Andersen Middle East. Mr. Ghoul is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). |

Prior to Rasmala, Mr. Samaan held senior investment banking positions at Jefferies & Company, Calyon Securities and Bear Stearns, all in New York. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. |

Hamad Al Huthaili
Managing Director, Rasmala Saudi Arabia
Joined Rasmala in 2007 from Saudi Hollandi Bank, where he served as a General Manager. Prior to that, he worked at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency in the foreign investment department. He holds a BA in Finance and Marketing from St. Thomas University.

Al Harith Al Khalili

Joined Rasmala in 2007, having previously held the position of General Manager in QInvest. He has more than 10 years experience in financial markets. Mr. Al Khalili Holds a BA in Accounting from Al Yarmouk University and an MBA from the University of Hull.

Ahmed Abou Saad
Managing Director, Rasmala Egypt Asset Management
Joined Rasmala in early 2008 and in addition to the above role, he is also Co-Head of Rasmala Asset Management MENA Equities. He previously served as the Head of Asset Management at Naeem Holding and as the Head of Capital Markets at MIBank, and was the Surveillance Manager at the Egyptian stock exchange. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Alexandria University, an MBA from Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and has been an Investment Instructor at several universities.
