Rasmala pioneered the fund-of-funds model on the MENA stock markets with the launch of its first fund in 2005. It now manages eight global and regional fund of funds focused on equities, real estate and alternative investments.

As a 'manager of managers', Rasmala selects and monitors top-ranking regional and global fund managers for its fund of funds, leveraging the expertise of specialist due diligence consultants for global fund managers, and the in-house manager due diligence team for regional fund managers.

The Rasmala investment strategy is based on a disciplined process of manager due diligence, manager selection and asset allocation across a portfolio that currently encompasses over 60 asset management groups.

In June 2008 the Rasmala MENA Equity Opportunity Fund was granted a “AA” rating by the world’s leading provider of independent credit ratings, Standard and Poor’s. The same fund also named “Best New Fund” at the Hedge Funds World Middle East Awards 2008.
